4. Submission Guidelines
Key Porter Books receives thousands of unsolicited manuscripts and book proposals every year and does not usually publish these submissions. Due to the amount of focus and energy spent on in-house projects, our editors rarely have the time to review unsolicited work. The best advice we can give is to contact a literary agent who can better represent you to the appropriate publishers. Please note that we do not accept inquiries as to the status of unsolicited manuscripts, but you will eventually receive a response. In addition, you are always free to submit your work to several publishers simultaneously.

Although Key Porter Books does not review unsolicited manuscript submissions, we do try and review queries and proposals. If you wish to submit your work to our attention, send your package to Key Porter Books, 34 Nixon Road, Bolton, ON, L7E 1W2, Attn: Submissions. No telephone calls or emails please.

**Please note that all proposals and accompanying materials will be discarded unless sufficient postage has been provided for their return. Please do not send any original artwork or other irreplaceable materials. We do not accept responsibility for any materials you submit.

  • All images must be sent by bonded or overnight courier and will be returned by bonded or overnight courier.
